Daniel Oxendine is Research and Evaluation Associate at Roanhorse Consulting. He is from the Lumbee Tribe (known as the People of the Dark Water), whose ancestral territory resides in Southeastern North Carolina, encompassing Robeson, Hoke, Cumberland, and Scotland Counties. He now lives in Denver, CO, on the ancestral lands of the Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Ute peoples.  aniel’s work is driven by a passion for collaborative research and community engagement, with a focus on advocating for Indigenous representation in cultural institutions. He has worked in museums, archives, historical sites, and non-profits, contributing to projects centered on cultural preservation and fostering meaningful connections with communities.
