Bobby Stone

Bobby Stone was raised in the Gila River Indian Community. His family grew traditional O’otham crops for nourishment and sharing with others. Farming and gardening has been Bobby’s passion ever since these humble beginnings. Mr. Stone’s career spans decades in farming and small gardens. Bobby received his AAS in Agriculture Technology from Central Arizona College and continued his Agriculture studies at the University of Arizona. Bobby is now semi-retired and enjoys teaching O’otham culture & language at numerous organizations and local schools in his community. Mr. Stone serves as Vice Chairman at Native Seeds/SEARCH, is a member of the Casa Blanca Community School Cultural Team, and networks with non-profit organizations for food security. Mr. Stone continues farming & gardening while sharing his indigenous crop knowledge with others. As a singer, he enjoys singing with his fellow traditional O’otham singers.
