Envest Microfinance Cooperative

Jon founded Envest Microfinance in 2006 out of his conviction that poverty and environmental degradation are inextricably linked. He has served as CEO since Envest’s inception and has developed a dedicated team that provides loans to small microfinance institutions with strong missions. Jon received a Master’s in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona. His original educational background is in evolutionary ecology, in which he received a BA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MS in Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Outside of microfinance, Jon is an active volunteer in prairie and savanna restoration along the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin.
